Snowboard Video Idea

So, I have this obsession. This obsession is snowboarding. This year I have learned a ton of new tricks. I have built a mini terrain park in my back yard. I have decided to film constantly whenever I'm snowboarding. I'm going to put the good stuff together and make a snowboarding video. It will be finished at the end of winter. This video will show me progressing, learning new tricks, falling and trying again, and having fun. The teaser will be coming right here, to my blog shortly.

Zumiez hat design competition!

This Saturday, the 6th, Zumiez will be having a hat design competition. Free hats will be given out do design to the first customers at your local Zumiez. You will design it with markers and whatever else. They will announce the winners and 6:00 pm the same day. If you are not present at 6, you can't win. The prizes are all Zumiez gift certificates. 1st = $100, 2nd = $75, and 3rd = $50. This is a great chance to show your creativity and win money!

OK, this is a guy that has reviewed any guitar, amp,or effect pedal that you can think of. He calls himself the tone king and I don't blame him. I would guess that he has 200+ videos. A Softer Side of Slipknot

Snuff, off of Slipknot's latest album All Hope is Gone. This song is way softer than the other head-banging Slipknot songs. I read an article in a magazine about Slipknot's new album and it said that some fans were angry that they had softer songs, like this one. I think all bands as they grow in age get softer and change the sound. Anyway, this song may be really soft and mellow but it sure is powerful. Enjoy!

Something New for 2010

As you all know it is now 2010. I've thought up something new for the new year. I will be starting something called "Daily Sharpie Sketches". This will be a new post every day with a scetch on a peice of paper that I will take a picture of and upload. I will also write a little something about it. Mike Shinoda is a musician and also a artist. He is the backup singer/rythem guitar player for the band called Linkin Park. You may also have heard of the rap group called Fort Minor. He took a major part in that. Something interesting that you may have not known about Mike Shinoda is that he is a artist. He has had many art shows and has also worked with DC to design shoes. Check out these pics and videos of his art and career.

Rap + Travis Barker

If u have ever heard of Travis Barker in the past, it may have been from the band called "Blink 182". Blink 182 split up a while ago. Travis kinda went solo working with different artists like Avirl Lavigne. He started to make drum parts and remixed different rap songs. The first big one was "Crank That" by Soulja Boy. He now has many songs remixed. Guitar is also added to make a nice rock effect. Here are some videos to demonstrate how cool this is.

Abstract State Of Mind

I've always been very into abstract art and paintings. I was looking for some insperation because i didnt know what to paint. I was on google images and i typed in "abstract paintings". I was interested in a lot of the paintings and works of art, but this one caught my eye and i fell in love with it. Whenever i think of "abstract paintings" this is what comes to mind.
This painter has a very creative mind. Pay attention to how all the colors of the circles change on each side of the lines that are crossing accross the painting. All of these shapes are perfectly painted. This is a amazing work of art.
